Why are there still genocides in africa, in this time for that matter? (Do not answer this by reading my opioion, I'm serious)

The latest news on Darfur, Justice may be served.

The President of Sudan has announced a ceasefire as of November 2008. There have been two other attempts of a ceasefire that have failed in the past. The B.B.C. says, " Observers say it is also part of an attempt by Sudan to persuade the UN Security Council to delay possible war crimes charges against Mr Bashir." (Omar Hassan al-Bashir, President of Sudan.) Which makes sense however he has "masterminded" a plan to destroy groups in Darfur according to the I.C.C. "Although there is much scepticism about the government's motives in declaring a ceasefire, some diplomats say it is a step in the right direction. "-says the B.B.C. Hopefully this will be the end to the tragedy in Darfur and the beginning of the end to all genocides across the world.

This is sad, in case you can't see this clearly this is a statistic is for the Sudanese oil for Chinese small arms. Gray: the oil Sudan has given to china (over 4,000!!!!!) The black line with the yellow dots is the percent total of small arms China has given Sudan. (In 2005 they gave them almost 100% of small arms!)

Adding insult to injury, U.N. diplomats from African countries are being halted by the Chinese ambassador when ever they make a proposal to aid Darfur. Sudan is not the only country in equation however. Chad was attacked by rebel groups in Darfur. In 2008 it was said that over 300,000 people have died in the conflict since 2003. More than 2 and a half million people have been displaced or removed from their homes due to conflict.

The Cause

Rebel groups in the region of Sudan known as Darfur attacked the Sudanese capital because they claim they were miss treated because they were trying to appease the Arabs. The President, Omar Hassan al-Bashier, had reportedly hired a group called the "Janjaweed" to ethically cleanse the black Africans. Of course President al-Bashier denied these claims and said they were "thieves and gangsters". These "self-defense" militias are criminals who reportedly killed ,men, kidnapped and raped women for going out for water and food. This atrocity has been occurring since 2003.
